It’s so satisfying when somebody says they want to live in this area. Of course WE like living here, but it’s nice when visitors come and rent with us for a few weeks and realize this is a place they want to see more of.
That’s when we start the search for just the right home or apartment. And like many other places, it can be hard to find your dream property at a price you want to pay. Often the kitchen is a bit too ‘traditional’ without modern surfaces. Sometimes the bathroom is too small and the shower and vanity unit are showing their “faded glory” shall we say.
But you can see these as opportunities, not problems!
It’s easier than you think to add value to a property, by remodeling it to be just what you want. We have a great working relationship with a local building company who can do wonderful work at very reasonable prices.
On the one hand you’ll get exactly the features you want but, on the other hand, it’s also a wise investment decision. You’ll buy the property at a price reflecting its current condition and, by the time remodeling is completed, it will no doubt be worth a lot more than you paid.
If you don’t keep it for yourself, you can be one of the many who remodel a home or apartment and then “flip” it for a nice profit.
